Beta UX Output Management and Archive
The latest version of the Beta UX 4.4. output management and archive suite has just been released. For several months, the team evaluated numerous suggestions and requirements communicated to us by our customers and implemented these in the 4.4. release. The changes aim at making document handling with the Beta UX Suite even more secure and intuitive.
For many of our customers, document management is of key importance. Be it due to legal provisions that force a customer to archive certain documents over the long term, or because of contracts or agreements with a very long lifecycle (life insurance, public sector) whose original data must be available to processors for decades.

Output management is a subject that does not draw a lot of enthusiasm from most people.But what makes it increasingly ‘sexy’ and worth paying attention to is the potential for significant cost savings it holds. Municipal IT service provider Kommunale Informationsverarbeitung Reutlingen-Ulm serves as a perfect example of this. The municipal regional data center obtains software from the Datenzentrale Baden-Wuerttemberg IT provider, which it installs and adapts to its IT infrastructure. It then makes the functions of the specialist procedures available to the 364 municipalities and district administrations in the 13 eastern Baden-Wuerttemberg counties it serves, while also handling all data management tasks, such as printing and enveloping bulk mailings.
Annual cost savings of more than € 1.4 million and improved ecological balance by reducing print volume – a bank relies on the Output Management solution from Beta Systems.
In 2012, for its internal and external needs, a large European bank was printing up to 7.5 million A4 pages on its mainframe printers, the equivalent of 34,000 pages per day. Per minute, the printing volume rose up to 70 pages, resulting in a continuous printing flow all over the year.

An increasing number of administrations and companies, in particular large ones, outsource their entire personnel processes to external service providers. In Germany alone, more than 750 customers from the public and private sector draw on the services offered by Hewlett-Packard GmbH.
